American Roulette Table Layout

This is the 4th tip in the “How to Play Roulette – 16 Spins to Win” eBook.

to know about the roulette table layout.

You wouldn’t want to guess the correct number and then look down and realize you placed your chips on the wrong number, would you?

Today’s roulette tables are based on the same design as their original 1842 counterparts, elongated tables, with a wheel at one end and a notch in the table for the Croupier to stand.

Just like the wheel, the American and European tables are slightly different.

The American table is not as wide as it’s European counterpart and as the European wheel’s don’t have a double zero (00), the 00 is missing on the European table as well.

The Roulette table is covered with a felt layout with boxes for the numbers 1 through 36, arranged in 3 columns and 12 rows.

At the end of the layout, above numbers 1, 2, and 3, are boxes for 0 and 00 (or, only 0 in the European version).

The table has two betting areas, an inside and outside area.

Inside betting area – Contains the individual numbers on the layout.

Outside betting area – Contains boxes for the columns: red/black and odd/even.

It also contains boxes for groups of numbers including: 1-12 (1st 12), 13-24 (2nd 12), and 25-36 (3rd 12).
